Family and friends,

Greetings and welcome to our wedding website — we are counting down the days for ya’ll to join us on The Mountain!

Sewanee represents a very special place for both of our families. As many of you may know, Mary Ellen spent much of her childhood on the mountain and Stuart has had numerous family members attend the University of the South. Present day, Mary Ellen’s parents and Stuart’s aunt work together at the University.  

We feel extremely fortunate to have found each other in Colorado with both of us having roots in the Southeast. We know that we would not have grown into the people we are today without the love, support, and guidance we have received from each and every one of you. We realize the time, effort, and expense required to celebrate with us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Our weekend will have a combination of events on “The Mountain” and our intention is to create quality time with our family and friends who have shaped us to be who we are today. Early summer is particularly beautiful in Sewanee with lush greenery and early summer blooms of Oakley hydrangeas. With 13,000 acres and just 2,600 residents, Sewanee is a playground for the outdoorsy with endless trails for hiking, biking, and discovering pristine lakes and vistas.
